About the Center
The Center for Capital Markets and Asset Management Research
The Center for Capital Markets and Asset Management Research dedicates to high-quality academic and applied research on important topics related to capital markets and asset management especially in China’s capital markets, so as to improve our understanding of financial market efficiency, asset management, and financial market regulations in China. The main research areas of the center include but are not limited to quantitative trading, household asset allocation and asset management, applications of FinTech in asset management, and behavior of individual and institutional investors. The Center aims at promoting academic research, advanced education and training, and policy studies on capital markets and asset management.
Prof. Shu Tao is the Director of the Center. Prof. Shu received his Ph.D. in Finance from McCombs School of Business, the University of Texas at Austin in 2007. He worked for the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia as an Assistant Professor, an Associate Professor with tenure, and Macfadden Endowed Professor of Personal Financial Management. He was also a Visiting Scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. His primary research interests include institutional and individual investors, mergers and acquisitions, empirical asset pricing, behavioral finance, and financial accounting. The Associate Director of the Center is Prof. Li Dan, who received her Ph.D. in Finance from York University in 2011. Prof. Li was an Assistant Professor in Finance at The University of Hong Kong and served as an in-house researcher for the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC). Her main research interests include empirical corporate finance, high-frequency trading, FinTech, and market microstructure.
