About Us

The SFI Career Development Center is committed to improving students' comprehensive qualities and employability. The Center provides all-round, systematic and personalized employment-related services covering all aspects of the job placement cycle, including career positioning, career planning, internship recommendation, and support for job application and interviews. Resources include a dedicated, experienced staff, organizing job-oriented courses, and focused internship and employment platforms. Our goal is to help students enter society and realize their career dreams.

Career Services

Furnishes Professional Assessments

The CDC uses professional tools to assess students’ career interests and internal values. These comprehensive evaluations help to identify appropriate career direction choices.

Provides “One-to-One” Career Counselling

The CDC provides personalized career counselling based on individual characteristics and needs. Services include career advisory, CV modification, interview simulation and internship recommendation.

Organizes Career Development Workshops

The CDC provides a comprehensive set of career development seminars and interactive tools. Topics include career planning, job search skills, and professional practices.

Sponsors Industry Analysis and Skills Training Sessions

The CDC sponsors industry professionals to share sector trends and career experiences, building students' awareness of the dynamics and talent requirements across various industries.

Compiles Employer Resources

The CDC gathers real-time job openings through multiple channels and utilizes the powerful alumni resources of SFI and CUHKSZ to identify exclusive internship and employment opportunities.

Organizes Recruitment Activities

The CDC hosts regular on-campus Fall and Spring Career Fairs, key employer talks and campus presentations to streamline engagement with high-profile enterprises.

Facilitates Company Visits

The CDC organizes visits to top companies and institutions such as Big Four accounting, Ping An and Tencent for students to gauge industry dynamics and explore career options.

Maintains Internship Databases

The CDC engages with local and national institutions and enterprises, and maintains an active employment database, to recommend suitable internship and job opportunities to students.

Hosts “Talks with Practitioners” Seminars

The CDC invites alumni, executives and practitioners for detailed explorations of topics such as industry insights, career advice, career success and life perception.

Launches Mentorship Programs

The CDC invites elites from different industries and enterprises as career mentors, to provide students with more targeted, industry-oriented and current career guidance.

Publishes Student Resume Book

The CDC compiles and edits a collective resume book for all full-time master program students, distributed to key employers for selecting outstanding students.

Maintains Alumni Relationships

The CDC maintains a database of graduates’ initial employers, promotions and career transitions, and together with the Alumni Office maintains active engagement with alumni.
