Faculty & Research

Excellence in teaching and research is the single most important objective of both SME and SFI. We ensure this goal is met, through our process and our people. 
First, we conform to the well-established, rigorous standards and academic processes of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Second, we recruit both high-potential and highly-acccomplished specialists to our faculty. All have earned Ph.D. degrees from prestigious international universities, many have had overseas faculty appointments, and are high-profile authorities and experts in their academic fields or industries. 
Through the end of 2023, there are more than 150 faculty members at SME/SFI, which makes for a highly-attractive low student-to-teacher ratio.
