The Center for Bay Area Development and Chinese Economy
The Center for Bay Area Development and Chinese Economy is committed to summing up the examples of innovative development of the world-class Bay Area, and exploring the effective model and path to strengthen the integration and cooperation of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and to stimulate innovative development and impetus conversion in Chinese economy. The Center aims at promoting the leading role of the Greater Bay Area, especially the role of Hong Kong and Shenzhen, in China’s economic development and opening-up, and enhancing intellectual support for the innovative development of the Chinese economy.
The Center is composed of the world’s leading experts from the academia, industry and government, who pay close attention to the "Bay Area Development and Chinese Economy". The Academic Director of the Center, Professor Tang Jie, is the Board Member of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and a PhD Supervisor at Nankai University. Professor Tang was a Fulbright scholar at the University of Pennsylvania and Deputy Mayor of the Shenzhen Municipal Government. His primary research interests include macroeconomics and spatial (regional) economy.
