With the rapid development of the global economy, family offices, as an important tool for wealth management of high net worth families, are becoming the choice of more and more families. Especially in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and the Greater Bay Area, the establishment and development of family offices have received attention and support from all parties. For example, in June 2021, the Hong Kong Investment Promotion Agency established FamilyOfficeHK to provide one-stop support services for family offices interested in operating in Hong Kong, in order to attract them to set up offices in Hong Kong and promote Hong Kong as a major family office hub in Asia. Recently, Shenzhen has also established the Family Office Promotion Association, aiming to promote the healthy development of the family office industry, establish industry standards and norms, reserve industry talents, and organize relevant forums to attract more family offices to settle in Shenzhen. The Family Office Research Center focuses on the research of family offices and provide important support for the theory and practice of this field.
