Dr. Cheng Shi, Ph.D. in Economics, is currently the Chief Economist and Managing Director of ICBC International. He was once awarded the honorary title of “Top Ten National Financial Craftsmen.” He has won many awards including the National Financial May Day Labour Medal, the “Golden Ram” prize, Institutional Chief Economist of The Year Award from China Business News and China National Defense Economics’ Person of the Year, Pioneering News Media Promotion Expert for China Banking Industry and Expert Award for the Outstanding Contribution in News Media Promotion for China Banking Industry. He is also the Director of China Chief Economist Forum, Adjunct Professor of Shenzhen Finance Institute of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Academic Committee Member of Pangoal Institution and Hong Kong LPF Association, and Academic Advisor of MSc in Finance at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Renmin University of China, Anhui University and Zhejiang University. He has his own column in top-notch financial media at home and abroad. As Head of ICBC International Research, he leads one of the most renowned and influential professional investment bank research teams in Asia. The research scope covers global macro economy, market strategy, fixed income and various sectors.
