2023 Employment Report for SFI Full-time Master Graduates

In June 2024, the Shenzhen Finance Institute (SFI), The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) released the 2023 Employment Report for SFI Full-time Master Graduates. As the 7th batch of master graduates cultivated by SFI, 2023 graduates actively responded to multiple challenges in the job market with their solid expertise, rich practical experience, good job-seeking mentality, and great professionalism. They registered a high and stable employment rate with relatively high average annual salaries in various fields and regions where they fully take advantage of their professional strengths and personal interests while demonstrating their outstanding employment competitiveness.
The number of 2023 graduates from SFI totaled 485, an increase of 28% over last year, covering six MSc programmes in finance, economics, accounting, marketing, information management and business analytics, and data science. The overall employment rate registered 97.9%, of which 91.9% chose to work upon graduation in finance, Internet, technology, and industrial/comprehensive enterprises. 5.4% of graduates chose to further their studies, of which 25 would pursue PhD programmes in well-known universities at home and abroad.

91.9% chose to work upon graduation with an average annual salary of RMB 292,000, and a maximum of up to RMB 700,000.
53.2% in the financial industry
Graduates had more diverse choices in industries and posts, of which 53.2% worked in the financial industry, and 25.4% in the technology/Internet industry.
57.8% in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area
Graduates had more diverse choices in destinations, with nearly 60% in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (including 20 graduates employed in Hong Kong), 25.1% in Beijing and Shanghai, and 6.3% in new first-tier cities.

5.4% chose to further their studies, of which 25 would pursue PhD programmes in well-known universities at home and abroad.
