MSc in Data Science Ranked Top in QS Master’s in Business Analytics Ranking in China (Business Analytics) for Three Consecutive Years
On September 25, 2024, QS released the Business Master’s Rankings 2025: Business Analytics. The MSc in Data Science programme offered by the School of Data Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) topped the ranking in China for three consecutive years, continued to rank 3rd in Asia, and rose to 36th place in the world. In terms of the single item “employability,” the MSc in Data Science programme secured first place in Asia.
Compared with 2024, the 2025 QS ranking has reached a new high in terms of both the coverage of countries/regions and the number of master’s in business analytics programs involved. It covered 31 countries/regions and 871 programs, an increase of 14.5%.
The MSc in Data Science programme remains competitive in the increasingly fierce competition and ranks among the best in the world in terms of the single item “employability” against the challenging job market in recent years. Its 2023 graduates are all employed with an average and median annual salary of RMB 355,000. Among them, the average annual salary increases steadily by 3.8% year-on-year compared with that of the 2022 graduates. In addition, it registers a better performance in the single items of “thought leadership,” “alumni outcomes,” and “class & faculty diversity” with a gradually increasing influence.
The above statistics have strongly illustrated the forward-looking talent training concept of the MSc in Data Science programme of CUHK-Shenzhen which is in line with the market demands.
