SME&SFI Alumni Event Series

Co-hosted by the School of Management and Economics (SME) and Shenzhen Finance Institute (SFI) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen), the Alumni+ Series uses the symbol "+" to represent the infinite possibilities and diverse interactions within the alumni network.

Event Highlights

Themed " Spring Gathering," this gathering broke from traditional formats, blending outdoor relaxation with meaningful connections. Alumni escaped urban hustle to enjoy a vibrant spring afternoon by the lake.

Opening Remarks

Faculty from SME and SFI warmly welcomed attendees, sharing updates on the institutions' recent developments. They reaffirmed the commitment to fostering alumni engagement through events that aim to "broaden horizons, solve challenges, and build friendships."

Innovative Format

The lakeside setting inspired a unique mix of fun and networking:

  • Outdoor activities like shrimp fishing and barbecues
  • Casual conversations spanning campus memories, career insights, and future aspirations
  • Sunset campfire talks under golden skies

Shrimp fishing, barbecuing, chatting—and even cat-strolling—it was the perfect weekend recharge. Despite different graduation years and industries, sharing school memories instantly felt like reuniting with family. That 'insider bond' is truly special."
