Research | Zou Wenli: Digital Resilience to Covid-19: Evidence from the Medical Aesthetics Industry
The COVID-19 has swept the world, causing unprecedentedly great socio-economic impacts. During the crisis, consumers have greatly changed their consumption behaviors, gradually shifting towards essential consumption. Non-essential businesses have suffered a heavy blow and faced unprecedented difficulties in their operations. In the face of severe challenges brought by the pandemic, how should non-essential businesses proactively seek changes in response to the crisis and enhance their organizational resilience?
Professor Zou Wenli (Lili) from the School of Management and Economics (SME), The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen), conducted a study with Mengxin Li, a PhD student, and Professor Cheng Yi, both from Tsinghua University, as well as Professor Jiannan (Harry) Wang from the University of Delaware. Their collaborative research paper named Digital Resilience to Covid-19: Evidence from the Medical Aesthetics Industry, with Professor Zou as first author, was accepted by Production and Operations Management, a well-known international journal of operations management.
