The 2nd Lakeside Management Conference Concluded Successfully
Days ago, the 2nd Lakeside Management Conference was successfully concluded at CUHK-Shenzhen. The Conference, hosted by SME, CUHK-Shenzhen, attracted nearly 90 well-known scholars and young doctoral candidates at home and abroad. The guests had in-depth exchanges on the latest trends in management research, covering such cutting-edge topics as organizational behaviors, artificial intelligence and technological innovation, corporate strategy and corporate governance, and cross-cultural management and international business. The Conference not only further promoted academic exchanges and cooperation in management but also injected new vitality into academic development and innovative practices in the region.
Professor Xiong Wei, Academic Dean of SME, CUHK-Shenzhen, delivered an opening speech. He extended a warm welcome to the guests and briefly introduced the development history and educational achievements of SME and CUHK-Shenzhen. Professor Cao Jiyin, Area Head of Management, SME, CUHK-Shenzhen, delivered a welcome speech. She introduced the dynamics of management at SME, apart from the purpose, the registration status, and related arrangements of the Conference.

Following the keynote speeches, two parallel roundtable discussions with a focus on today’s hot topics in management were moderated by Professor Cao Jiyin and Professor Jiang Han, respectively, to promote idea exchanges and mutual inspirations. In addition, paper presentations and Paper Development Workshops (PDW) were on the agenda. The guests conducted in-depth discussions on several key issues in management.
In the end, by visiting SenseTime, Kingdee International, Xingyun Group, and BGI, the guests gained a deep understanding of the enterprises’ core business, technological innovation achievements, and industrial use cases. Both sides actively engaged in interactions to promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation between academia and the industry.
