Exploring New Paths for Industrial-Financial Synergy and Empowering Enterprises in the Greater Bay Area on Global Expansion: Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Exchange 2025 Successfully Held

Days ago, the Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Exchange 2025 was successfully held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Futian). As a core session of the 19th Shenzhen International Financial Expo, the exchange was co-hosted by the School of Management and Economics (SME), The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen), CUHK Business School, Shenzhen Finance Institute (SFI), and the Shenzhen Institute of Data Economy (SIDE), receiving strong support from co-organizers including the Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF), the Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macau Cooperation and Innovation Research Association (Shenzhen), and Shenzhen Futian District Enterprise Service Center, as well as from the partner Shenzhen International Finance Expo (FINEXPO) Operations Co., Ltd. Themed “Industrial-Financial Synergy and New Momentum for Enterprises Going Global in the Greater Bay Area,” with a focus on key areas such as Chinese enterprises going global, fintech, industry-finance integration, and synergy in the Greater Bay Area, the event aimed to create a high-level dialogue platform integrating policy interpretation, case sharing, and trend analysis.

First, He Jie, a Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Deputy Secretary-General of the Standing Committee of the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Congress, delivered an opening speech. He pointed out that the exchange precisely met the core needs of the current development of the Greater Bay Area and provided a valuable opportunity for opinion exchange on industrial development.

Next, Professor Lu Guoshi, Associate Vice President of CUHK-Shenzhen, highlighted in his speech that for the past 11 years, CUHK-Shenzhen has consistently served national strategies and the development in the Greater Bay Area with its educational philosophy—“to combine tradition with modernity and to bring together China and the West”—since its establishment.

Afterwards, Jane Lee, President of OHKF, introduced the six major sectors across 11 cities in the Greater Bay Area according to OHKF’s latest report, Greater Bay Area Industry Development Index 2025 and Enterprises Going Global, revealing the continuously increasing confidence of enterprises in the development of the Greater Bay Area.
