Number of Papers Published in Top Journals of Economics by SME Ranks Second Among Universities in Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau
In recent years, more and more Chinese scholars have emerged on the international academic stage in the field of economics and management. However, it is not easy for scholars in the field of economics and finance to publish high-quality papers due to the generally long publication cycle. Bringing together a research team with both global vision and local wisdom, the School of Management and Economics (SME), The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) pursues original research at the world's frontiers and has achieved fruitful results. According to the “Econometrics Circle”, from January to July 2022, SME professors of CUHK-Shenzhen published a total of 16 papers in top international economics journals, ranking second among universities in the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau. Throughout the year, from January to December 2022, SME had a fruitful year in research output, with 62 newly accepted papers, including 20 in FT50 journals and 13 in UTD24 journals.
