| 摘要 | With more than $40 trillion dollars under management, institutional investors of funds play an important role in the financial market. Using novel data on fund viewership, we are the first to examine how these investors allocate attention to specific institutional funds. Exploiting quasi-random variation in screen display features on a prominent institutional asset management platform as instruments, we provide causal evidence that their direct attention drives flows to institutional funds and exerts positive price pressure on their underlying stocks. Overall, our evidence suggests that even sophisticated institutional fund investors suffer from attention constraints, which have important asset pricing implications. |
| 主讲人简介 | 笪治教授是圣母大学霍华德·J·和杰拉尔丁·F·科斯金融学教授。他的研究方向为实证资产定价和投资。近期发表的论文探讨了投资者注意力有限、机构投资者行为以及金融资产现金流风险等问题。他的论文发表于《金融杂志》（Journal of Finance）、《金融研究评论》（Review of Financial Studies）、《金融经济学杂志》（Journal of Financial Economics）等期刊。目前，他担任多家期刊的副主编，包括《金融杂志》（Journal of Finance）、《管理科学》（Management Science）、《金融与定量分析杂志》（Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis）以及《银行与金融杂志》（Journal of Banking and Finance）。笪治教授曾荣获2017年JFQA威廉·F·夏普金融研究奖学金，以及其他研究奖项和资助。在获得新加坡国立大学工商管理学士和理学硕士学位后，他曾在星展银行的利率和奇异衍生品交易部门工作。随后，他获得了西北大学的金融学博士学位。 |
