Seminar on Greater Bay Area Integration and Financial Strength under the New Opening Pattern Successfully Held

On December 19-21, 2023, the Seminar on Integration of the Greater Bay Area and Financial Strength under the New Opening Pattern (hereinafter referred to as the Seminar) was held at Shenzhen Finance Institute (SFI). The Seminar, in closed-door format, is organized by the Institute of Policy and Practice of SFI, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and co-organized by China Institute for Reform and Development (CIRD), Southern Finance Omnimedia Corp., Hong Kong Institute for International Finance, Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Co-operation and Innovation Research Association, and Shenzhen Innovation and Development Institute. 

The seminar invited nearly 40 experts and scholars from Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Hainan and other places to focus on Review, Reflection and Transformation of China's Financial System, How Finance Helps the Greater Bay Area to Become a World-Class Science and Innovation Hub, Consolidating Hong Kong's Status as an International Financial Center and China's Influence in the International Financial System, How Hong Kong's Digital Finance Helps the Construction of China's Free Trade Port and Free Trade Zone, New Practice of Shenzhen and Hong Kong Building a Dual-Cycle Superhub under One Country, Two Systems,  Innovation, Integration and Development of New Think Tanks and other topics for in-depth discussion. The seminar also summarized the highlights of the work of the Institute for Policy and Practice in the past year. It provided useful references for the direction of work in the coming year.
